Heading into the elections, the Green Left Alliance lists: "Women, mayors, and many young people." Falchi and Noferi get a double slot.

Florence, August 26, 2025 – "The lists? They've been closed for a while, we're not the Democratic Party," they sneer at the Alleanza Verdi Sinistra ( Green Left Alliance). Satire in the age of the broad field. Certainly, the leadership group composed of the regional secretary of the Italian Left, Dario Danti, and the commissioner of Europa Verde Toscana , MP Filiberto Zaratti, will cross the threshold of Via Forlanini today, for the first program meeting of the broad field ahead of the regional elections, with their homework already done.
"Plural lists, using the best resources," AVS reports, "young people, women, and administrators ready to run to demonstrate that the real innovation of these elections will be our political formation, for a Tuscany renewed even in its political proposals: regional citizen income, water and public healthcare, and renewables."
Six are each leading the list for the Italian Left and Green Europe , according to an exclusive look at their candidates. The constituencies under scrutiny? Florence Center and Pisa, plus the hope of a major victory in Lucca and Livorno. AVS is aiming for an expanded representation of three councilors, riding the electoral trend of the last European elections (6.79%). In both the Florence Center and Piana constituencies (1 and 3), the ticket is the same: outgoing councilor representing EV, Silvia Noferi, arm in arm with the "spearhead" of SI, the mayor of Sesto Lorenzo Falchi. Meanwhile, former co-spokesperson for EV Tuscany, Eros Tetti, will run fourth on the list for Florence 1 and third in the Lucca constituency, given that the lead candidate will be former SI councilor for Capannori, Francesco Cecchetti.
Mugello is earmarked for Ecolò—the majority party in Palazzo Vecchio—with two candidates representing their identity: Ecolò's "soul" Paolo Brunori and Fiesole councilor Marta Ghedina Brenna. Worthy of mention: in Siena, the frontrunner is Serena Cocci, former councilor of Colle Val d'Elsa; in Prato, the SI duo of Montemurlo councilor Alessio Laschi and Eleonora Cossu; and in Arezzo, the Ev-affiliated city councilor Francesco Romizi.
On the coast, in Pisa Avs will lead the way for the mayor of Caldi of Europa Verde Massimiliano Ghimenti and in Livorno the leaders will be Diletta Fallani and the barricading provincial secretary of SI Marco Guercio.
